Cardinals Walk It Off for 15th Win of Season
The Texas (DSL) Rangers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Kel Rose into a win. Instead, the St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals prevailed, 5-3. Rose threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. St. Louis (DSL) reliever António López picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jim Unknown was saddled with the loss. St. Louis (DSL) is now 15-33. Texas (DSL) is 22-26.

St. Louis (DSL) got a knockout punch from José Castillo. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

Castillo told a St. Louis (DSL) Daily News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
