The Texas (DSL) Rangers defeated the Colorado (DSL) Rockies, 6-3, in Dominican Rookie League action at Texas Rangers Complex. Texas (DSL) pitcher Jeff Roberts had a standout performance. The save was Jonathan Edwards's, his 1st. Texas (DSL) is now 23-29, Colorado (DSL) 16-36.

Texas (DSL) second baseman Shawn Pierre McIlwain contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a curveball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 30th hit of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 3-0.

"Jeff has got a slow heartbeat," said Texas (DSL) manager Louis Coleman. "He doesn't panic or anything."
