DSL Makes DSL 6-4 Losers
|
Due in large part to third baseman Jim Foshee, the DSL Nationals sunk the DSL Brewers, 6-4. Foshee was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Darrell Morrow earned the win to go to 3-2. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 8 strikeouts in 6 innings of work. Orlando Martínez earned the save, his 1st.
Foshee had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-2 fastball from Leonardo Mendoza, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Nationals a 6-4 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Foshee.
"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Foshee said.
DSL, with the win, is 16-34.
