With third baseman Frank Mayer leading the charge, the Bradenton Marauders got a road win over the St. Lucie Mets, 3-2, in Game 2 of the Round 1. Mayer went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk at Tradition Field to help Bradenton force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Bradenton used a clutch at-bat from Jimmy Songer to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Marauders ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Bradenton skipper Miguel Montero.

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, September 13th , 2025 at Calvin Falwell Field in Bradenton.
