Bradenton Shuts Out Fort Myers, 15-0

Bradenton's Darryl Cobb brought his best stuff to Hammond Stadium, shutting down and shutting out the Fort Myers Miracle, 15-0. He racked up 7 strikeouts, surrendered 3 hits, and issued 2 walks on his way to the victory.
"We barely made him work at all," Fort Myers manager Tony Thomas said later. "Bradenton could probably pitch him again tomorrow if they wanted."

Missed Bus May Cost Bass

Word out of Mets camp today is that Chet Bass might be fined by the team or benched for the next game as punishment for missing the team bus. "It's unacceptable," said manager Jorge Hernandez. "He should know better and should take responsibility for his actions. Something needs to be done to curb this behavior before it becomes a real problem." Pressed for a comment, Bass simply said, "I overslept. It happens."
