Clearwater Stops Stroud Hit Streak

The streak has been snapped.
Billy Stroud failed to get a hit in today's game against the Clearwater Threshers, bringing his 22-game hitting spree to an end. The 23-year-old Jupiter center fielder was 0-for-5, but the Hammerheads got the win and defeated the Threshers, 2-1.
"I'm not disappointed at all -- I had a great run," Stroud said. "I got to 22 games. I got my name into an elite group with a bunch of good ballplayers. What's there to complain about?"
Stroud is currently batting .363 with 6 home runs and 54 RBIs.

Hammerheads Sánchez August's #1 Pitcher

The best at putting a stop to late-inning rallies in the Florida State League in August was José Sánchez of the Jupiter Hammerheads. For his stellar work out of the bullpen, he has been named Pitcher of the Month.
He chalked up a 3-0 record, 14 relief appearances and 9 saves with a 0.00 ERA. Sánchez pitched 14.1 innings and rang up 24 strikeouts.
In the 2026 season Sánchez has worked 51 innings in 47 relief appearances and earned 27 saves. He has dished out 56 strikeouts and walked 11 with a 4-3 mark and a 1.41 ERA.

Jupiter's Stroud Snags August Batting Title

Billy Stroud of the Jupiter Hammerheads stood out in August with a .419 batting average against Florida State League pitchers to land him the Batter of the Month award.
The 23-year-old center fielder totaled 4 home runs, 15 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He also chipped in 7 walks for a .452 on-base percentage.
This season, Stroud has hit 6 home runs and posted a .368 batting average.
