New York N 2 (DSL) Extends Series Lead in Low-Scoring Affair
|
The New York N 2 (DSL) Mets 2 moved to within one game of the League Series, downing the visiting Houston 1 (DSL) Astros Blue at New York Mets Complex by a score of 2-1. Mets 2 left fielder Chet Wanner did some major damage. He hit 2 home runs. The win gives the Mets 2 a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Series.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Wanner hit a solo home run off Juan Zobrist. It propelled the Mets 2 into the lead, 2-1.
"We found a way to win tonight," Wanner said.
Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Houston Astros Complex Orange.
