The Greenville Drive took down the Delmarva Shorebirds by the score of 5-3 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the Round 2. The largest share of the credit belongs to Greenville starter Jim Jones, who threw 8.0 innings allowing 3 runs.

Lou Smith came through with a big-time hit for Greenville. The second baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Jones.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Salisbury.
