Bowie Baysox starter Brit Hargrove hurled his team past the Altoona Curve, 4-2. Tony Martínez earned the save, his 2nd, for the Baysox. Altoona is 0-3 after the defeat.

Scot Smith had a big 2-run double for the Baysox in the bottom of the third inning. With Bowie leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 35-year old right-handed pitcher Drew Hutchison and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Baysox ahead, 3-0.

Bowie manager Jack McDowell praised his team's "energy."
