The Altoona Curve picked up a win at People's Natural Gas Field, knocking off the Erie SeaWolves, 4-3. Starting pitcher Tim Gray was a big reason why. Gray picked up the win for Altoona, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Picking up the save was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Ben Stinson.

Bret Goslin had a key at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the fourth for Altoona. With runners on 1st and 3rd and the Curve leading 3-0, he grounded out, driving in 1 run.

"We did enough to win," said Goslin.

The Curve, now 5-0, have stormed out of the gates.
