The Lehigh Valley IronPigs picked up a win at Coca-Cola Park, dropping the Buffalo Bisons, 4-2. Luis Gil, who is tied for 5th in the IL in strikeouts with 89, was the difference-maker. The winner was Gil. He threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Pat Todd. Ron Boyer earned the save for Lehigh Valley, his 7th.

In the bottom of the sixth, Gus Manley delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Lehigh Valley center fielder hit a 2-run single, putting the IronPigs in front, 4-2.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Lehigh Valley skipper John Valentin. "I can't complain."

Lehigh Valley now sits at 31-36, while Buffalo falls to 31-35.
