The El Paso Chihuahuas defeated the Las Vegas 51s, 4-2, in Pacific Conference action at Cashman Field. El Paso pitcher Zak Holliday had a standout performance. The Chihuahuas raised their record to 9-3.

El Paso used a clutch at-bat from Jarred Pierson to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Chihuahuas ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I really like what we did out there today," Holliday said after the game.
