El Paso and Fresno duked it out and the Chihuahuas came out victorious.

The El Paso Chihuahuas knocked off the Fresno Grizzlies, 8-5, at Chukchansi Park. Galtero Scallini was a big reason El Paso won. The third baseman went 2-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Greg Lewry earned the save for El Paso, his 5th of the year.

In the top of the sixth, the Chihuahuas grabbed the lead when Scallini hit his 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run off António Solís made it 7-5, El Paso.

"Winning is contagious," said Scallini. "We're looking forward to the next game."

The Chihuahuas, now 10-4, have been sizzling early on.
