The Rochester Red Wings rode a solid performance from 29-year-old starting pitcher Bob McDonald to a win, beating the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 3-2, at Frontier Field. After losing, Lehigh Valley is 1-1.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Rochester pinch hitter Stan Jordan, facing Ron Boyer, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Red Wings the 3-2 win.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," McDonald told the Rochester Times.
