Rainiers Get Past Colorado Springs, 3-2

Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Tacoma Rainiers and Colorado Springs Sky Sox.
Tacoma Rainiers starter Brian Gonzalez turned in a top-notch performance against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox at Security Service Field. The result was a win for the Rainiers, 3-2. Gonzalez picked up the win for Tacoma, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0.
Lanny Vaughan, who is tied for 9th in the PC in triples with 1, had a direct impact on the outcome. Vaughan contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Tacoma up, 3-2.
"Every loss stings," said Colorado Springs manager Brian Falkenborg. "This one is no exception."
Tacoma goes to 17-8 with the win.
