River Cats Deal Grizzlies 5-4 Loss
The Sacramento River Cats did just enough to sneak past the Fresno Grizzlies, 5-4, at Raley Field. Sacramento pitcher Octávio Venegas, in particular, had a standout performance. With the win over Fresno, the River Cats improved to 30-18.

The River Cats got a clutch hit from center fielder Jerry Wood. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the River Cats.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Sacramento manager Carmelo Martinez.
