Olsen, River Cats Put Clamps on 51s
|
Sacramento River Cats starter Jim Olsen was in midseason form, as he helped his team beat the Las Vegas 51s, 2-0. Pat Bryant earned the save for Sacramento, his 2nd of the year. The River Cats improved their record to 20-28 with the win over Las Vegas.
Olsen, a native of Cooper City, Florida, was dealing all game. He kept Las Vegas hitters off-balance, while giving the River Cats 8 quality innings. Olsen threw 97 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 7.
"If you beat me, you beat me, if not, good things will happen," said Olsen.
