River Cats Prevail, 6-4, Over Las Vegas
|
The Sacramento River Cats earned a win at Raley Field, knocking off the Las Vegas 51s, 6-4. On the bump for Sacramento was right-hander Raffi Vizcaino. He had a starring role in the triumph. In 7 innings, Vizcaino surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 4. He allowed 4 runs. The River Cats now have a record of 24-33.
Sacramento shortstop Raúl Orosco contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a curveball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 24th hit of the season and put the River Cats ahead, 6-1.
"I know we have our doubters," said Las Vegas manager Nelson Paulino. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
