The Sacramento River Cats used a top-flight performance from Don Parker, who is tied for 2nd in the PC in strikeouts with 75, to beat the Las Vegas 51s, 2-1, in 10 innings. Chris Quirke claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 3-2. Sacramento raised its record to 34-27 with the win.

Sacramento got a game-changing hit from Robert Mullen. The catcher blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.
