Carter Finds Groove in 11-1 Sacramento Triumph
Sacramento turned a good effort from starter Bob Carter into a win over the Las Vegas 51s at Raley Field. The River Cats won the game, 11-1. Sacramento now has a record of 41-32 with the win.

Carter pitched a complete game for Sacramento. The right-hander, who calls Compton, California, his home, racked up 9 Ks, while allowing just 3 hits. 51s hitters could not touch his fastball -- nor any other pitch, for that matter.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Sacramento manager Carlos Corporan.
