The Round Rock Express took on the Sacramento River Cats at Dell Diamond.

The Round Rock Express beat the Sacramento River Cats by a score of 8-6. Round Rock right fielder Ignacio López deserved the lion's share of the credit. López was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 runs for the Express. Ken Long picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 4-5.

In the bottom of the 4th, Round Rock took the lead on a 2-run single by Víctor Olvera. At the time, the Express were trailing 3-2, but Olvera's hit with two outs against Sacramento pitcher Jimmy Tirney put them in front, 4-3.

"We came out with clear minds and swung the bats well," said Round Rock manager Ben Petrick.
