Sounds 3-1 Winners Over El Paso
|
Starting pitcher Tomás Sánchez gave the Nashville Sounds a rock-solid effort. The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native helped his team defeat the El Paso Chihuahuas, 3-1, at Herschel Greer Stadium. Tony Miles earned the save, his 25th, for the Sounds. Nashville, at 66-43, is 12 games up in the American Conference North Division.
Brendan Davidson, who is tied for 4th in the AC in bases on balls with 49, helped out the Nashville cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 2 with a double and a walk.
"I really like what we did out there today," Davidson said after the game.
