Starting pitcher António Solís did his part in helping the Fresno Grizzlies thwart the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, 6-1. The win lifted the Fresno record to 64-53.

Fresno used a well-timed hit by Alfredo Sánchez to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Grizzlies ahead, 5-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

Fresno manager Alex Gordon called it "a good, solid win."
