Sacramento turned a good effort from starter Esteban Correa into a win over the Fresno Grizzlies at Raley Field. The final score was 5-1. Jake Evans earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record is now 2-1. The third-place River Cats have a record of 53-72.

Sacramento took a 2-1 lead on Aubert Mozzafiato's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Mozzafiato hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Fresno pitcher Bobby Dailey visibly frustrated.
