Bees Pick Up 5-4 Win Against Fresno
|
The Salt Lake Bees beat the Fresno Grizzlies, 5-4, in part because of right fielder Jonathan Amundaray. He was 2 for 3 with a double and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI. José Olivas earned the save for Salt Lake, his 22nd of the year. The Bees now have a record of 61-72 with the win over Fresno.
With Salt Lake leading 3-2 in the top of the third, Amundaray came up to bat against Fresno pitcher Phil Perkins. Amundaray hit a fastball to left for a 2-run double. His 10th double of the season put the Bees on top, 5-2.
"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Fresno manager Alex Gordon.
