Ford Helps Rock Cats Beat Baysox, 8-3
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the New Britain Rock Cats and Bowie Baysox.

The New Britain Rock Cats trumped the Bowie Baysox, 8-3, at Prince George's Stadium. New Britain second baseman Dave Ford was terrific. He went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs. New Britain has won 3 straight, while Bowie has lost 4 in a row.

New Britain used the hitting of Amerigo Maria Lamb to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Rock Cats on top, 7-0. For the game, Lamb had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We came out aggressive," said Rock Cats manager Gary Kendall. "We came out swinging the bats."
