The Lehigh Valley IronPigs powered past the Pawtucket Red Sox, 9-4, at McCoy Stadium. Jose Altuve was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2, to lead the charge. Picking up the win was Manny Banuelos. He went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 10 hits. The left--hander struck out 7 and walked 1. Pawtucket drops to 8-18.

With Lehigh Valley leading 4-2 in the top of the sixth, Altuve hit a run-scoring single off Pawtucket hurler Jacob Lindgren. It was the 28th hit of the season for Altuve and put his team ahead, 5-2.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Altuve said.
