SeaWolves Win 4th Straight, Take Down Fightin Phils, 5-1

The Erie SeaWolves stifled the Reading Fightin Phils, 5-1, at Jerry Uht Park. Luis Provolone, who is tied for 4th in the EL in doubles with 27, had his hitting cap on. He was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times for Erie. Ignacio Mendoza picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-1 on the season. He struck out 6 and walked 4 in 5 innings, while yielding 1 run. Erie has now won 4 in a row.
Provolone contributed in the bottom of the third. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Erie get the win.
"Winning is great," Provolone said. "It's always just guys picking each other up -- if not me, then the next guy."
