The New Hampshire Fisher Cats got a marvelous performance from pitcher Joel Vallance. The right-hander kept the Erie offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 5-2 New Hampshire victory at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Vallance yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 10. His record improves to 16-9. Randall Colwill, credited with the save, is now 9 for 11 in save opportunities.

Micker Adolfo hit a 2-run triple off Jon Reed in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Fisher Cats in front, 3-1. Adolfo had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.

"We're playing like we're capable of," said New Hampshire manager Mark Budzinski.

The Fisher Cats have a winning streak of 7 games.
