The Lake Elsinore Storm did just enough to nip the Inland Empire 66ers, 5-4, in 11 innings. Lake Elsinore pitcher Ben Wilson, in particular, had a standout performance. Dan Arredondo came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. The defeat makes Inland Empire 3-7.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Cy Courtney came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Inland Empire pitcher Sergio Muñóz, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Lake Elsinore on top, 5-4.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Inland Empire manager Kent Matthes said, following the tough loss.
