The Inland Empire 66ers downed the Lake Elsinore Storm, 6-1, at Lake Elsinore Diamond. Trevor Kirkham led the way, going 4-for-5 for Inland Empire. Inland Empire reliever Dylan Locke was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Geoff Erickson took the loss. The setback makes the Storm 5-11.

With Inland Empire leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Kirkham hit a run-scoring single off Lake Elsinore hurler Geoff Erickson. It was the 18th hit of the season for Kirkham and put his team ahead, 2-0.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Kirkham told the Inland Empire Times.
