JetHawks Rally to Win, 3-2
|
The Lancaster JetHawks faced a tough opponent in Inland Empire pitcher Ric McGill, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Hanger by a final score of 3-2. McGill went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Lancaster goes to 16-9 with the win.
Lancaster got a knockout punch from Steve Peterson. The shortstop hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"We didn't let this one get away," said Peterson.
