The inspired effort of Modesto center fielder Ken Davis was not enough to prevent a loss, 4-3, to the Inland Empire 66ers. Davis was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. Inland Empire pitcher Israel Gómez got the win. He's now 1-1. Luis Prado was tagged with the loss. Kevin Jenkins closed the game out for Inland Empire, earning his 6th save.
