LoanMart Field was the site of some high drama.

Behind a fine performance from Dave Bates, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes knocked off the Visalia Rawhide, 6-5. Bates was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Quakes. Today's win puts Rancho Cucamonga at 22-26, while Visalia falls to 23-25.

Butch Patterson was the walk-off hero for Rancho Cucamonga. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Quakes center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Patterson.
