High Desert right-hander Pat Peterson pitched his team to victory over the Inland Empire 66ers at Stater Bros. Stadium. The final score was 1-0. Chris Martin notched his 16th save of the season. The victory gives the Mavericks a record of 45-34.
Peterson's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 7.1 innings while allowing 5 hits. Peterson, who is tied for 4th in the CAL in strikeouts with 99, goes to 6-4 on the year with 99 strikeouts.
