Bakersfield center fielder Ed Green had 6 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, 13-6. Jim Reed claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 5 hits in 4.1 innings. His record stands at 2-1. With the win, Bakersfield pushed its record to 61-50.

With Bakersfield leading 3-1 in the top of the second, Green batted against Rancho Cucamonga pitcher Jonathan Craft. Green hit a fastball to center for a bases-clearing triple. His 3rd triple of the season put the Blaze on top, 6-1.

"We got the victory," said Green. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
