Giants Win at Rancho Cucamonga, 7-5
The San Jose Giants knocked off the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, 7-5, at LoanMart Field. Conan Jenkins was a big reason San Jose won. The second baseman was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Walt Hutchinson snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits over 4.1 innings. He's now 4-1 on the season. Hal Powell was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 30 of 34 save opportunities.

With San Jose leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Jenkins hit a fastball from Josh Osborne for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Giants ahead, 4-0.
