The Palm Beach Cardinals picked up a win at Roger Dean Stadium, knocking off the St. Lucie Mets, 2-0. On the mound for Palm Beach was left-hander Andy Reeves. He played a key role in the triumph. St. Lucie is now 2-1.

Mike Meyer came through for Palm Beach when he hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the seventh. With the bases loaded, he hit a two-strike sinker to center field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.

"Andy kept his poise and got the job done," said Palm Beach manager Irving Falu. "He was outstanding."
