Charlotte shortstop José Padilla had a day to remember, 5-for-6 against the Clearwater Threshers at Charlotte Sports Park as the Stone Crabs picked up a win, 22-3.

"He was patient up there," Charlotte skipper Brad Salmon told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Padilla has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."

José Padilla hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
