The Jupiter Hammerheads faced a tough opponent in Brevard County pitcher Randy Smith, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Space Coast Stadium by a final score of 1-0. Smith went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. Robinson Santana recorded the save for Jupiter, his 1st of the season. Jupiter, now 6-1, is setting the league on fire so far.

Jupiter took a 1-0 lead on Joey Murphy's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Murphy hit in the top of the eighth, left Brevard County pitcher Randy Smith visibly frustrated.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Murphy told the Jupiter Herald.
