Hammerheads Victorious at Clearwater, 9-4
|
The Jupiter Hammerheads topped the Clearwater Threshers, 9-4, with right fielder Wally Ramsey playing a big role. Ramsey went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 5 for the Hammerheads in the win. Clearwater is 4-3 after the defeat.
Ramsey had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the third inning, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Hammerheads went on to win.
"It never gets old," said Ramsey. "Winning, that is."
