Blue Jays Earn 7-4 Win Against Stone Crabs
The Dunedin Blue Jays used the hitting of shortstop Mike Fleming to subdue the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 7-4. For the game, Fleming went 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Dunedin reliever Ron Waters picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Tomokatsu O'Brien absorbed the loss. The Stone Crabs, now 3-10, continue their slow start.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With two out, Fleming hit a fastball from Mike Gaines for a 3-run home run. The Blue Jays, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It was our day today," Fleming told the Dunedin Chronicle. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
