Late Rally by Tortugas Secures 3-2 Win
Daytona beat St. Lucie at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, escaping with a 3-2 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop Wes Carter. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win puts Daytona at 8-6.

Jeff Kennedy was the walk-off hero for Daytona. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Tortugas designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Jorge Hernandez.
