The St. Lucie Mets beat the Fort Myers Miracle, 4-1, at Tradition Field. Starting pitcher Monte Craig was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Kel Turner picked up the save, his 7th. The win brings the Mets to 13-9, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

Bob Norwood contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. His at-bat helped St. Lucie get the win.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Norwood told the St. Lucie Citizen. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
