Hammerheads Lose to Yankees in Walk-Off
|
The Jupiter Hammerheads got a superb performance from pitcher Steve Cole, but the Tampa Yankees still won the game, 5-1. Cole threw 6.1 innings of 1-hit ball. Jupiter drops to 15-9.
Tampa got a knockout punch from Sam Morehead. The center fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
Morehead called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
