The Dunedin Blue Jays withstood an impressive performance by Brevard County designated hitter Rudy Lamb to defeat the Manatees, 8-4, at Space Coast Stadium. Lamb went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Lou Adams was the winner. Over 8 innings, he yielded 4 runs on 9 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. Dunedin is now 14-15.

Dunedin used a timely hit from Pepe Ortega to get the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
