Norwood Leads Mets to 8-6 Win Over Miracle
St. Lucie third baseman Bob Norwood contributed significantly to his team's 8-6 win over the Fort Myers Miracle. Norwood, who is tied for 4th in the FSL in total bases with 58, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mets. Chet Bass, the winner, goes to 2-1. He allowed 6 runs on 10 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts over 6.1 innings. Kel Turner closed the game out for St. Lucie, earning his 10th save.

Beau Goodwin, the St. Lucie right fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to make the score 3-1, Mets. For the game, Goodwin was 1 for 4 with a walk.
