Stone Crabs Lose to Hammerheads, 4-2
|
Jupiter pitcher Pancho Jaca did his part in helping his team defeat the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The loss makes Charlotte 13-20.
Jupiter used a well-timed hit by Jeff Adams to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Hammerheads ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I like our moxie," said Hammerheads manager Mike Mordecai.
