4-2 Loss Extends Dunedin Losing Streak
The Lakeland Flying Tigers knocked off the Dunedin Blue Jays, 4-2, in Florida State League action at Joker Marchant Stadium. Lakeland pitcher and Cleveland, Florida, native Sean Bevins had an outstanding performance. Bevins yielded 2 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 0, and struck out 8. His record improves to 5-0. José Cervantes was called on to finish, recording his 14th save.

Lakeland took a 4-0 lead on Joe Sheehan's 8th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Sheehan hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Dunedin pitcher Dave Jayme visibly frustrated.

"It's fun to come to the yard every day when you're winning," said Lakeland manager Donald Lutz.

Now 29-5, the Flying Tigers have won 13 games in a row.
