Flying Tigers Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
Runs were at a premium in the Lakeland-Jupiter matchup.

Led by 21-year-old Juan Martínez, the Lakeland Flying Tigers downed the Jupiter Hammerheads, 1-0. Martínez threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball for Lakeland. Filip Pauw earned save number 2.

In the top of the second, Jon Reed delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Lakeland catcher hit a run-scoring single, putting the Flying Tigers in front, 1-0.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Martínez.

The defeat makes Jupiter 25-15.
