Mets Come Up Short at Charlotte, 2-1
The bats were silent much of the day at Charlotte Sports Park. But 25-year old center fielder Dave O'Fogarty produced just enough offense to carry the Stone Crabs past the St. Lucie Mets, 2-1. O'Fogarty was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Charlotte goes to 19-22, St. Lucie to 21-20.

O'Fogarty had a timely hit for Charlotte in the bottom of the seventh. With Charlotte trailing 1-0, he turned a 0-1 curveball into a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season, making it 2-1, Charlotte.

O'Fogarty called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
