The Tampa Yankees earned a close win over the Clearwater Threshers, thanks in part to Dave Cobb. The Tampa right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the FSL in innings pitched with 60.1, played a key role in the 10-inning, 3-2 victory. The Yankees sport a record of 16-27.

The Yankees got a clutch hit from left fielder Steve Baker. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Yankees.

"Dave made some big pitches when he needed to," said Yankees manager Eric Owens.
