A good performance from first baseman Dave Hogan helped the Dunedin Blue Jays defeat the Clearwater Threshers, 3-2. Hogan was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Blue Jays. Getting the save was Doug Winters, his 9th. Dunedin is now 21-22, while Clearwater is 20-23.
In the first inning, Hogan had a 2-run home run for Dunedin. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Blue Jays on top, 2-0.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Hogan told the Dunedin Chronicle.
